What is solvent extraction ?

Solvent extraction is using solvent N-hexane to extract oil from oil cake. After sunflower seeds are pre-pressed, the residual oil is about 6% inside oil cake which will be wasted if without extraction. So it's important to extract oil from oil cake and after extraction , the oil residue inside meal is less than 1%.
